Job summary

Total Vision LLC in Los Angeles is seeking a friendly front desk / patient pretesting assistant for our optometry practice. You will greet patients, manage calls, schedule appointments, and transcribe messages for doctors.

You will perform pretests and assist doctors during exams, while ensuring patient comfort and accuracy. Requirements include bilingual English/Spanish, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in ophthalmic/optometric settings is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet incoming patients and guide them to pretesting before the exam.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and transcribe messages for doctors.
• Perform pretesting (blood pressure, NCT, color and stereo, autoperimetry) and relay results.
• Advocate for overall health evaluation and collect ocular history.
• Conduct contact lens training and assist with lens orders.
• Maintain equipment and doctor’s lanes; monitor supplies and hygiene.
• Travel between practices as needed; weekend availability may apply.
