Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group seeks a Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose refractive errors and ocular diseases, and prescribe eyewear and medications. You will educate patients and build lasting relationships to support practice growth and high-quality eye care.

The role includes vision testing, pre/postoperative care, and coordinating with staff to ensure patient-centric service and use of advanced lens technology.

Qualifications

• D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
• Passage of all optometric state boards required.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive eye exams and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Take patient ocular and medical history and determine visit purpose.
• Instruct and discuss options for remediation of refractive and ocular conditions; hand off details to support staff as needed.
• Promote eye health and advise on lens coatings, designs, and best eyewear solutions.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results; diagnose refractive errors and ocular diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care and refer patients to other providers when needed.
• Advise on systemic health signs during eye exams and refer when necessary.
