Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements. No optical experience is required as training will be provided; some weekend and evening shifts may be required.

You will learn to operate pretest equipment, assist in ensuring a smooth patient flow, and collaborate with clinicians to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. This role emphasizes patient comfort and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Personable and patient demeanor to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other prelim testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide seamless patient experience.
