Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements. Training is provided, no optical experience required, and you’ll help deliver a best-in-class vision care experience.

The role involves assisting during visits, documenting medical history, and training patients in pretests and contact lens care, with some weekend/evening shifts expected.

Qualifications

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will face.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training for applicable patients.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, accurately document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and additional office staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures to which they will be exposed during appointment.
• Through company training learn to use all pretest equipment to perform a range of visual screenings for patients prior to visiting with the doctor.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team members to provide seamless patient experience.
