Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits. You will perform preliminary testing and measurements with training provided. Weekend and evening shifts may be required, and the role reports to the Office General Manager.

No optical experience required; we offer comprehensive training and tools to learn. This position emphasizes patient comfort and a high-quality vision care experience for every patient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with ability to do basic math.
• Personable, patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless experience.
