Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing, and learning all pretest equipment. No optical experience required as training will be provided. Some weekend and evening shifts may be needed to ensure patient flow and high-quality care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient comfort, and accurate documentation to support a best-in-class eye care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with the ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam prep.
• Keep patient flow smooth between staff and Doctor during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing as applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
