Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and ensuring a smooth clinic flow. No optical experience?

Training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and visual screenings prior to the doctor visit. Some weekend and evening shifts may be required. You are personable, patient, detail oriented, and eager to learn.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; basic math ability.
• Personable, patient and capable of comforting patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and collaborative with the optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document existing conditions and medical history for the exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during appointments.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
