Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing, and handling measurements. No optical experience is required as training will be provided. The role may include weekend and evening shifts to meet patient needs.

You will document medical history, maintain patient flow, and learn to operate pretest equipment while delivering a high-quality patient experience in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required, basic math understood.
• Personable and patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player to provide the best patient experience.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor and team for seamless patient experience.
