Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and measurements. You will prep patients for exams and help maintain a smooth flow for appointments. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required.

You do not need prior optical experience. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and you should be personable, patient, and detail-oriented. We foster a collaborative, inclusive team and offer growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
• Comfortable documenting medical history and patient information.
• Empathy and patience to assist patients during screening.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will experience during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings for patients.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
