Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records/files per HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam (dilation, topical meds, tests).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• May perform refractions or act as a scribe when needed.
