AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists with patient care and education, ensuring efficient, high-quality experiences from start to finish.

The role involves pre-exam evaluations, post-exam tasks, and scheduling management, with responsibilities aligned to HIPAA compliance and accurate EHR documentation. A collaborative, patient‑centered approach is essential.

Qualifikationen

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co-workers and patients.

Aufgaben

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity).
• May assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks; manage doctor’s appointment schedule.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• May perform diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• May act as a scribe or perform refractions as needed.
• Ensure schedule utilization via pre- and post-appointment confirmations and recalls.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and inventory management.
• Perform end-of-day wrap-up and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
