Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA, or CPOT.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Support specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner in EHR.
• Schedule appointments and manage the doctor’s calendar.
• Assist with refractions and act as scribe if needed.
