Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and enhance patient care. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic tests, and help manage appointment schedules to ensure a seamless, high-quality patient experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities include documentation in EHR, handling patient inquiries, and coordinating referrals when needed. Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures prior to the exam with the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Document findings in EHR and assist with medical documentation.
