Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to support doctors and enhance patient care. You’ll perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic tests, and help manage appointment flow to deliver efficient, high‑quality experiences.

You will maintain accurate patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems, coordinate referrals, and handle end‑of‑day tasks. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in our fast-paced, patient‑centered practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient files in HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Coordinate referrals and complete related paperwork.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and inventory control.
• Handle end-of-day tasks and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• May act as a scribe or assist with refractions as needed.
