Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an Optometric Technician to support our optometrists and deliver exceptional patient care. You’ll perform pre‑testing procedures, assist with specialty testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth, high‑quality patient experience from start to finish.

You’ll document medical findings in EHR, communicate with patients about medications and procedures, and coordinate referrals while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post‑exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to maximize efficiency.
• Document medical findings and maintain patient records in EHR.
