AEG Vision in Minnesota is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostics, and help manage the patient journey from check-in to check-out.

This role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, HIPAA compliance, and collaborative teamwork; previous eye-care experience and relevant certifications are a plus, and we offer strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with eye exams and dispensing medications.
• HIPAA-compliant records management.
• Certifications such as CPO, CPOA, CPOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exam (dilation, topicals, OCT, visual acuity).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule referrals and manage the doctor’s appointment calendar.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Handle patient inquiries and manage contact lens fittings and inventory.
• End-of-day scheduling wrap-up and clinic cleanup.
• May scribe for the optometrist or perform refractions.
