AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician in Minneapolis to support Optometrists in patient care and education, ensuring efficient, high‑quality experiences from start to finish.

The role includes preliminary patient evaluations, recordkeeping under HIPAA, scheduling referrals, and handling clerical tasks for medical documentation. The team emphasizes collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to the details and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co‑workers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients before exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto reflector, visual acuity, etc.
• Records and maintain patient records / files in compliance with company, federal, and state policies (HIPAA).
• May be required to schedule referral appointments with Ophthalmologists, Diagnostic follow‑up visits, and other specialty referrals, and complete paperwork.
• Responds to patient telephone inquiries regarding medication, treatment, problems referring to the Optometrist as necessary.
• Performs other duties within the practice as requested.
