Job summary

AEG Vision in Cypress, TX is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver exceptional patient care. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the doctor’s schedule, and help with medical documentation in EHR systems.

This full-time role requires accuracy, teamwork, and strong communication with patients and staff. Experience with eye exams, eye medications, and HIPAA-compliant record keeping is essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures prior to exams by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
