AEG Vision is hiring an Optometric Technician to work closely with our optometrists, supporting patient care from pre-testing to post-exam tasks. You will manage appointments, assist with tests, and ensure efficient, high‑quality experiences for patients in a fast-paced eye care practice.

Ideal candidates bring High School Diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, solid MS Office and Windows skills, and excellent communication and teamwork to deliver compassionate care and accurate

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to details and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co-workers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam testing and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Schedule referrals and complete paperwork as needed.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Confirm appointments and reschedule as necessary to optimize schedule utilization.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal and manage inventory/trials.
• Act as a scribe for the Optometrist or perform refractions when required.
• Perform end-of-day wrap-up and keep the practice area clean and organized.
