Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with coworkers and patients.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule referrals and manage appointment scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Record and maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• May perform diagnostic testing with ophthalmic equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties related to medical documentation.
• Support end-of-day wrap-up and maintain clean, organized work areas.
