Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support O.D.s in delivering exceptional patient care. You will perform pre‑testing, assist with diagnostics, and help manage appointment flow for a high‑quality experience.

Responsibilities include updating EHRs, coordinating referrals, and educating patients on treatments and contact lenses. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co‑workers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-testing procedures and specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule and patient flow to ensure efficient care.
• Record and maintain patient records per HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments as needed.
• Operate and document findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Schedule referrals and complete related paperwork as required.
• Perform contact lens insertion/removal training and manage inventory.
• End-of-day wrap-up and schedule optimization.
