Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and learning pretest procedures. No optical experience required as training is provided, with some weekend and evening shifts expected.

You will assist with patient documentation, ensure smooth flow through the clinic, and help deliver a high-quality patient experience under the supervision of the Office General Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings for patients.
• Provide contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
