Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided, and the role emphasizes delivering a best-in-class vision care experience to patients.

Some weekend and evening shifts are required, reporting to the Office General Manager. You will learn to operate pretest equipment, document medical history, and collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth patient flow and comfortable visit

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus ability to perform basic math.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optics; training provided.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for exam.
• Keep flow of patients smooth between staff and Doctor.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training where applicable.
