Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing, and taking measurements. Training will be provided to learn industry equipment and procedures to ensure a best-in-class patient experience.

The role involves supporting doctors, handling documentation, and maintaining patient comfort. Some weekend/evening shifts are required, with a growth-oriented environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Ability to understand basic math
• Personable and patient with patients during screening
• Willingness to learn optical industry concepts and equipment
• Collaborative team player focused on patient experience
• Previous healthcare/optical background preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and conditions for the optometrist exam
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the doctor and staff during visits
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during appointments
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and perform preliminary testing
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver a seamless patient experience
