Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary tests, and documenting medical history. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts may be required.

You will assist with pretest equipment, visual screenings, and contact lens training while ensuring a smooth patient experience and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ability to perform basic math.
• Personable, patient, and capable of comforting patients.
• Detail oriented; works closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optometry and procedures.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures to be experienced during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
