Zusammenfassung

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and learning optical procedures. No prior optical experience required; training will be provided to learn industry-specific processes and tools.

You will help maintain patient flow, ensure comfort during screening, and collaborate with team to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to support doctor during exams.
• Willingness to learn optometry terminology and procedures.

Aufgaben

• Consult with patients, document medical history, and prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures to be exposed during appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform a range of visual screenings.
• Assist with contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
