Job summary

Warby Parker seeks an Optometric Technician to collaborate with optometrists in our stores, delivering high-quality eye exams and patient experiences. You will support pre-testing, contact lens training, and data collection while ensuring accurate records and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will assist with appointments, utilize video-assisted exams where available, and mentor teammates on lens insertion/removal training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Familiar with eyewear and able to describe features and benefits.
• Completion of Optometric Technician training or CPOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, etc.).
• Support in person and video assisted eye exam appointments.
• Train team members on insertion/removal training for contact lenses.
• Assist with appointment flow and follow-ups to ensure a smooth visit.
• Maintain accurate records of collected data and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA/PIPEDA and company policies.
