Job summary

Warby Parker is hiring an Optometric Technician to support eye exams in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist optometrists, collect pre-testing data, and help with contact lens insertion/removal training while maintaining patient flow and accurate records.

You will work closely with doctors, store teams, and patients, ensuring a high-quality patient experience and adherence to privacy policies in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• Ability to follow HIPAA privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient, establishing rapport with eye exam patients.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, etc.).
• Support in-person eye exam appointments as available.
• Train new staff on insertion/removal training for contact lenses.
