Job summary

Warby Parker seeks an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in a fast-paced store setting. You will assist with each eye exam, perform pre-testing, and help with new contact lens training while keeping data accurate and exams running smoothly.

You will support both clinical and retail teams, ensuring patient care remains the priority and HIPAA/privacy rules are followed at all times. Training others and adapting to a high-volume environment are important aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in eye exams and data collection.
• Familiarity with contact lens training and fitting.
• Understanding of HIPAA/privacy in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exam appointments.
• Deliver contact lens training and train teammates as directed.
• Manage appointment flow and confirmations to ensure a smooth experience.
• Maintain accurate patient data and prepare reports for clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy policies.
• Maintain organized exam rooms and assist retail team as needed.
