Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and provide exemplary patient care on-site. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostics, and manage scheduling to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include documenting findings in EHR, handling referrals, and maintaining a clean, organized practice. AEG Vision emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and a high standard of patient service.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist and assist with testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality experience.
• Document medical findings in EHR and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up visits as needed.
• End-of-day wrap-up and maintain clinical cleanliness and organization.
