AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver exceptional patient care on-site. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage appointments to ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out.

The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork with the optometry team to educate patients and support clinical operations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification; related eye care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terms in eye care.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA, or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-testing and specialty diagnostic testing under the optometrist's supervision.
• Manage the doctor's appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record patient information in the EHR with HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with scheduling referrals and paperwork.
• Provide patient education and post-exam tasks.
