Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and improve patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic tests, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality visits.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate record-keeping, and seamless coordination with the care team. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Schedule referral appointments and complete paperwork.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication and treatment.
• Perform diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Ensure maximum schedule utilization through pre-appointment and recall confirmations.
