Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. This role involves assisting with pre-exam testing, operating optical equipment, and maintaining a clean, efficient clinical environment.

The position emphasizes patient interaction, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork within a busy optometry practice in Winston-Salem, NC. Prior medical office or ophthalmic exposure is preferred, with weekend availability a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or patient-facing role preferred.
• Ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to interact with patients and staff professionally and courteously.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Operate optical testing equipment (lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual fields, OCT).
• Follow testing scripts and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.
• Support office duties and maintain a positive, patient-focused environment.
• Punctual and flexible with scheduling, including weekends if needed.
