Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to assist in delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. You will help prepare patients for exams using optical equipment and support the optometrist during testing and procedures.

The role emphasizes patient interaction, accuracy in testing, and adherence to HIPAA and company policies while maintaining a courteous, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Comply with HIPAA and all company policies.
• Respect patient and doctor time; manage schedule efficiently.
• Operate eye-testing equipment such as lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, OCT.
• Follow scripting for testing procedures.
• Maintain and clean examination equipment.
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff.
• Assist with general office duties as assigned.
• Commit to hours including weekends and schedule changes.
