LensCrafters in Chicago is seeking a part-time Optometric Technician to support the optometrist during eye exams and ensure a top-notch patient experience. You will greet patients, gather medical history, perform pre-exam testing, and help link the doctor and retail teams to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of customer service, and strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of strong customer service experience.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical office procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations, including history intake and pre-exam testing.
• Maintain patient records accurately and securely under HIPAA guidelines.
• Support both exam lanes and contact lens area as needed.
• Coordinate with the doctor and retail teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Input data into the clinic system and manage inventory of supplies.
