LensCrafters in the United States is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and the on-site retail team by delivering the LensCrafters Experience. You will assist in eye examinations, prep patients, collect medical history, and help ensure flawless patient flow during exams.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of strong customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Comfort with a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Knowledge of an office environment is helpful.
• Basic math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and display a professional image.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and patient prep.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Support retention of exams via calls and reminders.
• Place contact lens orders and manage the contact lens room.
• Input data in the CIAO system accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
