Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician in Chicago to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will support the optometrist, collect medical history, prepare patients for examinations and ensure accurate documentation and patient care.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills, with proactive help in scheduling, inventory and patient follows-up. Training and benefits accompany a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service experience.
• Leadership skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and display a professional image.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and prep of patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; consult when needed.
• Support retention and scheduling activities and HIPAA-compliant record keeping.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of exam lanes and equipment.
• Input patient data and insurance information using the CIAO system.
• Assist with inventory and coordination between exam lanes and retail.
