Job summary

Affinity Eye Care’s Rockrimmon Vision Clinic is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage appointments ensuring a smooth patient experience from start to finish.

The role requires experience with eye exams, familiarity with eye treatment terminology, and a relevant certification (CPO/CPOA/CPOT).

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exam (dilation, topicals, OCT, Visual Field, etc.).
• Schedule referral and follow-up appointments; complete paperwork as needed.
• Maintain and secure patient records in EHR in compliance with HIPAA.
• Assist with diagnostic testing and clerical tasks related to medical documentation.
• End-of-day clinic wrap-up and prep for next day.
• May act as scribe or perform refractions.
