Job summary

AEG is looking for an Optometric Technician to support clinicians, perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality patient experiences.

The role requires experience evaluating patients, familiarity with eye-care terminology, and industry certification (CPO/CPOA/CPOT). It is a full-time, on-site position with pay between $18 and $22 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostics).
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
