Job summary

RiseMe is seeking an Optometric Technician to support clinicians in delivering high‑quality eye care. You will perform pre‑test procedures, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage patient flow and scheduling in a busy practice.

Ideal candidates have experience with eye exams, HIPAA privacy practices, and strong communication skills, plus familiarity with medical terminology and basic PC office tools. Certification in CPO/CPOA/CPOT is a plus. On‑site position with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye medications.
• Familiarity with eye treatment medical terminology.
• Experience maintaining patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Industry certifications: CPO, CPOA, or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists with pre-test procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule and patient flow.
• Record medical findings in EHR and perform clerical duties.
• Schedule referrals and manage contact lens fitting and orders.
• Maintain exam room and equipment cleanliness.
