Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and enhance patient experiences. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields), and help manage appointment flow to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires experience with eye exams, medical terminology, and industry certification (CPO/CPOA/CPOT). On-site work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient files per HIPAA and policy guidelines.
• Support clerical duties related to medical documentation and CPT/billings.
