AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support patient care alongside Optometrists. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities include documenting medical findings in EHR, coordinating referrals, and handling clerical duties related to medical documentation. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork, with opportunities for growth in a supportive clinical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Experience handling patient records and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with diagnostic testing.
• Schedule doctor appointments and manage patient flow for efficiency.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Record medical findings and coordinate with Optometrist and patients.
• Operate specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Handle CPT coding and post-op billing activities as directed.
