Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in patient care and education. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostics, and help manage scheduling to ensure a smooth, high‑quality patient experience from check‑in to check‑out.

You will document findings in EHR and may perform scribing or refractions as needed. Strong attention to detail and team collaboration are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilations, topicals, diagnostics).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient, high-quality patient experience.
• Document findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and assist with medical documentation.
