Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and deliver high‑quality patient care. You will conduct pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the doctor’s schedule, and ensure efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include documenting findings in EHR, handling referrals, and maintaining accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA and practice policies.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification such as CPO, CPOA, CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exam (dilation, topicals, diagnostic tests).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient, high‑quality care.
• Document findings in EHR and support clerical medical documentation.
