Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician in Oregon, Ohio to support Optometrists and patient education. You’ll perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities include pre-exam evaluations, patient interviews, and safe records handling in an EHR system, while maintaining the clinical environment and assisting with clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms used in eye care.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA.
• Industry certifications: CPO, CPOA, CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Document findings in EHR and assist with medical documentation.
• May perform scribe or refractions as needed.
• Support end-of-day wrap-up and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
