Job summary

AEG Vision in St. Henry, OH seeks an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists, conduct pre-testing, assist with specialty diagnostics, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to deliver high‑quality patient experiences.

You’ll perform preliminary evaluations, document findings in EHR, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate records while upholding HIPAA standards to ensure efficient, compassionate eye care.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient pre-testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient care.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR per HIPAA.
• Assist with diagnostic testing (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry).
