Job summary

AEG seeks an Optometric Technician to support doctors, handle pre-testing, and ensure a smooth patient flow. You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage appointment schedules to deliver efficient, high-quality care.

You will work on-site with a team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and patient-centered service. Prior eye-care exposure and relevant certifications are preferred; full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality experience.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications or treatment.
• May perform diagnostic testing using OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera.
• Document findings in EHR and assist with related clerical duties.
