Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support the eye care team and ensure exceptional patient experiences from check-in to checkout.

The role involves pre‑testing procedures, assisting with diagnostic testing, maintaining patient records in the EHR, and coordinating appointment schedules. On-site in Spring Hill, TN, you will work closely with Optometrists and staff, contributing to efficient, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification required.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with coworkers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and pre‑testing procedures.
• Schedule referrals and manage appointment bookings in EHR.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• May perform refractions or act as a scribe as needed.
