Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a skilled Optometric Technician to support optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care on-site. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient exams.

Responsibilities include documenting findings in EHR, handling recall communications, and supporting post-exam tasks. Must have eye-care experience and relevant certification; part-time arrangement available with

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, etc.).
• Assists with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule and records in EHR.
• Contribute to pre-appointment confirmations and patient recall outreach.
