Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in delivering exceptional patient care. You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage appointments to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires eye-care certifications and strong communication. On-site work with full-time hours and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap, auto refractor, acuity).
• Explain procedures to patients and schedule referrals when needed.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Operate diagnostic testing equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Assist with calendar management and post-exam documentation in the EHR.
